MixxMobb.Com Featured Album: Chi-Ill & O-Zone- The Last Chance Lounge
![]() Indy releases don't get any hotter than this. The Last Chance Lounge is a timeless album that fits any occasion as
Chi-Ill takes you on a ride through the streets of Chicago in his debut album, with well crafted verses and in-depth story telling. The perfect balance between conscious and gangsta, not too mainstream and not too underground. Chi-Ill is a classic emcee with a new school flow. Missing from this album are the stereotypes, cliche's, and bull-shit rapper talk that you may be accustomed to. Couple the pointed bars of this Chicago native with the sounds of up and coming producer extraordinaire O-Zone, and this release is sure to have your speakers thumping for hours on end. The Logan Square emcee touches all bases with 12 tracks ranging from the underground sounds of Walk Through the Ghetto to the anthem Still Shine. The opening offering, Fight is a lyrical beatdown and a perfect tone setter for what follows. There's Been a Murda is a conscious account (not a preacher's sermon) of the sense-less violence that takes place on the streets of Chicago. On Track 6 Chi hooked up with NYC legend Kool G Rap to put fake rappers/actors on blast in Ready for War. The lead single, Ready to Go is club banger and a welcome change of pace that completes this well rounded LP. No doubt you will be hearing a lot of noise from this duo in the future. Front to back The Last Chance Lounge is worth every penny you will spend. If you have no pennies to support quality artists, you should definitely take the opportunity to listen to this project for free above. You won't be sorry.
